MONTHLY COMMUNITY OUTREACHES, CHRISTMAS CARE PROGRAM
In our aim to cut down on hunger and malnutrition amongst OVC and underprivileged women, UTF in its regular supplies of food and clothing to communities and orphanage homes has conducted at least 268 outreaches in regard, within and outside the state.
Our usual monthly outreaches are specifically executed to offer economic assistance to orphaned families, underprivileged women and children in villages and settlements, orphanage homes and hospitals across communities. It is the sole aim of our outreach team to ensure that orphans and widows under our care do not go to bed hungry, walk naked or live stranded through the distribution of consumable, non-consumable domestic items on monthly basis. Bags of rice, cartons of canned foods, clothing and cosmetics are regularly given out to this end.
The Foundation occasionally organizes special events for the OVC, widows and underprivileged women in its attempt to convalesce interpersonal complex issues, empowering them socially and standing as a conduit between the privileged and the less privileged. Some of such special events include:
- EASTER CELEBRATIONS
- ANNUAL CHILDREN’S DAY REACH OUT
- INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS
- ANNUAL CHRISTMAS CARE REACHOUTS
It gives us extreme joy each year to put smiles on the faces of less privileged women and children in the season of Christmas. Our 3-day Christmas care outreach impacts over a thousand women and children each year.
